TN has heard rumours that Blizzard, makers of World of Warcraft and Trion makers of Rift are jointly testing out a technology termed RifitancingTM.
JUMP BETWEEN GAMES!
Yes playing Rift in WoW and WoW in Rift. TN has also heard that a joint press release will come out soon, extracts that have appeared on the internet seem to suggest that the companies have come the joint view that ‘basically these are the same game’ and ‘why make players choose’. We hear that there are a number of talent tree issues that need to be sorted out but these might be solved through specific racial i.e. new races added to each game in the next major expansion.
This seems a good idea, but why pay for two subscriptions and boxes, my personal view is that they should off a discount package for both games. Oh and I'm sure they got the name from the on going joke about re-naming The Instance podcast, so, nice idea but a bit of a rip off.
Bit late but nice try ;)

The two companies are also going to implement a cross-game spellchecking facility. ;>
