Speaking as a descendant of one of Burn's targets (in Holy Wullie's Prayer), I'd have to revise the question:

"Which TNer is descended from the illegitimate child of Robbie Burns?"

To read instead:

"Which TNer is *not* descended from an illegitimate child of Robbie Burns?"

The latter comprises, of course, a far smaller cohort of society.

2.

Which TNer is descended from a hunchbacked dwarf, court jester to a 10th Century Irish tribal king, who was ennobled by said king then later executed for being caught in flagrante with the king’s wife?

Would that be you, Richard? ;)

3.

Elle Pollack>Which TNer is descended from a hunchbacked dwarf
>Would that be you, Richard?

No, that's not me. I can't get my family tree further back than the father of someone born about 1567.

The word "Irish" might be a clue there.

Richard

4.

What self-important, self-referrential drivel. Please continue with the more topical exposition.

thanks and happy holidays...

5.

More eggnog for Rudolph!

6.

The word "Irish" might be a clue there.

Then you were either born in Whales, eaten sheep's lung or have performed in Oliver!, and I've no idea if any of the characters from that were Irish.

7.

1. Do TNers have more eclectic personal histories than the average person? If so, why? If not, doesn't that say something rather terrifying about the average person?

2. If only the statements could have been presented in the form of a logic puzzle.... "The TNer who learned Japanese has been held up at gunpoint and worked with Leonard Nimoy, but does not appear to be related to any 10th-century hunchbacked Irish dwarfs."

Can't wait to see the answers!

Elle Pollack>Then you were either born in Whales, eaten sheep's lung or have performed in Oliver!, and I've no idea if any of the characters from that were Irish.

No, none of those apply to me.

The TNer who ate sheep's lung is different to the one who was born in Wales, but did perform in Oliver!. The one with the Irish ancestor also performed in Oliver!.

Richard

9.

Bart Stewart>The TNer who learned Japanese has been held up at gunpoint and worked with Leonard Nimoy, but does not appear to be related to any 10th-century hunchbacked Irish dwarfs.

The TNer who learned Japanese has indeed been held up at gunpoint.

The TNer who worked with Leonard Nimoy is indeed descended from the Irish hunchback.

However, they're not the same TNer.

Suggest more combinations and I'll endeavour to tell you the connections.

Richard

Yeoman Rudolph>What self-important, self-referrential drivel.

And your point is..?

Richard

You know, I can't resist, I'm sorry, it's just that kind of day when the SL grid crashes. I find I have the following things in common with your TN stars, and I'm glad to be in such fine company:

o eaten roast turtle
o descendant of Daniel Boone
o been trailed by a KGB agent
o learned Latin in school
o worked as a librarian's assistant (a "page")
o shaken Ronald Reagan's hand
o have seen a nuclear weapon

You know, I'm still working on my Turkmen. Those verbs of motions are killers...

12.

Heh. Yes, we apparently have some cousins here, as I too am a descendant of Daniel Boone (but am not a TN author). I've also seen a nuclear weapon, but learned Chinese not Latin and ... well I'll save my own "dark side" for another time. ;-)

13.

Ariel Sharon once personally ordered me shot.

And you think online flamewars are tough...

14.

Boone descendents FTW.

15.

Since hard-boiled silkworm pupae is a delicacy in Korea, I'm going to guess that is Unggi Yoon?

16.

Also, Golda Meir served me milk and cookies in her kitchen.

She had baked the cookies herself.

No, I don't remember what kind they were.

I think everyone has interesting stories to tell... Thanks for doing this, Richard, it's fun and helps bring life to folks many of us only know online.

17.

Have any TNers preformed in multiple shows? i.e., the Wicket Witch and Nancy, and any combination of Jesus/Caiphas and Dodger/Brownlow? (Unless it was a school production really strapped for people, I'll assume that none of the preformers were gender bending). And did the same person who played the Dodger against Lenoard Nemoy's Fagin also preform at Lincon Center?

Richard: Sheep's eyeballs then?

18.

Also, there are only 4 female TNers, correct? (Betsy, Mia, Jessica and Constance). That would narrow the field down for certian items.

19.

galiel>Since hard-boiled silkworm pupae is a delicacy in Korea, I'm going to guess that is Unggi Yoon?

Correct!

Richard

20.

Elle Pollack>Have any TNers preformed in multiple shows?

There's only one intersection in the ON STAGE and OLIVER! categories: the TNer who played Mr Brownload in Oliver! also played at the Lincoln Center, Boston's Symphony Hall, and the Kennedy Center.

>Sheep's eyeballs then?

Not knowingly, no. I do have an entry in the FOOD list, though.

Richard

21.

Elle Pollack>Also, there are only 4 female TNers, correct? (Betsy, Mia, Jessica and Constance). That would narrow the field down for certian items.

I can confirm that it was indeed one of these four who kicked a customer in the throat while a gogo dancer. It was a deliberate kick, too.

Richard

22.

Which TNers, if any, would you actually guess were TNers from the state of their homepage?

23.

You know, I have often idly wondered if this "direct descendant of Daniel Boone" stuff was a line my grandpappy was feeding me. How could there be so many "direct descendants of Daniel Boone" lol. I think this TN entry clinches it -- it's a kind of rural legend.

24.

Well, there's actually a registry in Boone's hometown where you can trace these things and verify it. That, plus I'm starting to wonder if the guy really got around.

25.

Which TNer is descended from a hunchbacked dwarf, court jester to a 10th Century Irish tribal king, who was ennobled by said king then later executed for being caught in flagrante with the king’s wife?

I am going to guess Timothy Burke. Keep up the good work guys

26.

Mike Grassi>I am going to guess Timothy Burke.
Me>All TNers participated except Tim snd TL

It's not Tim, Mike.

The big hint for this ancestry question is that the hunchbacked dwarf was court jester to an Irish tribal king.

Richard

27.

The big hint for this ancestry question is that the hunchbacked dwarf was court jester to an Irish tribal king.

But you're the only TNer on the Irish/British side of the Atlantic? ;p

I'm going to guess Thomas, only because Malaby seems vaguely irish-sounding somehow.

28.

I am going to guess Cory for:
1) Nuke
2) Crime punishable by death
3) shaking Reagan and Bush hands

since he is the only TN'er who I know was in the military.

Also, maybe he was the one who ate the now extinct slug, since it is rumored he has a grudge against marine lifeforms.

29.

Answers please? I'm sure I'm not the only one dying to know...

30.

BuhBuhCuh Fairchild>I am going to guess Cory for:
>1) Nuke
Yes!

>2) Crime punishable by death
No!

>3) shaking Reagan and Bush hands
Yes and no! He's shaken Bush Sr's hand twice, but he isn't one of the two TNers who shook Reagan's hand.

Richard

31.

Anonymous coward>Answers please?

Probably on Wednesday.

Richard
