I just want to say that the GLS conference was really awesome. I really enjoyed presenting, and it was great to talk to a different group of people than the typical game developer rabble at the other conferences I attend. ;) I think the conference organizers did a great job, especially since I know what goes into organizing something like that.

I'm looking forward to next year! Maybe I can finish a whole bottle during my presentation. :)

Have fun.

Ditto. Such a nice, nice conference.

Phew, I've finally made it through all the talks. I especially liked the generations of media scholars, pop culture and designing games talks. Good stuff!

Yeah. Besides my own talk with Ted and Cory, I thought the media scholars talk was one of the best as far as my personal learning went. It was interesting to see the discussion going on. It was particularly interesting how scholars from established media were fairly relaxed, but as you got younger and into newer media, there was more apology and qualification of statements. We may have video game scholars, and some of them are damn good, but you can see the part of the fight for legitimacy right there.

Something to think about.
