Thanks to Christopher Allen of Skotos for giving us a recipe for syndicating our reader comments on TypePad. You can now subscribe to comments (XML) at: http://terranova.blogs.com/terra_nova/comments.rdf.
To get our main feed, paste: http://terranova.blogs.com/terra_nova/index.rdf into your newsreader.
If you're thinking "What the heck is a newsreader and why would I want one?" -- it's a way to keep track of your blogs on one page without a bunch of surfing and clicking. I'm using Feedreader, which is a *free* and open-sourced (GPL'd) option.
Great!
This should increase my particpation 2x to 10x.

It looks like it is working pretty well. One minor quibble, the title of the comments RSS feed should probably have a title tag with the name comments, otherwise it has the same name as the blog's RSS feed. i.e. [title][$MTBlogName encode_xml="1"$] Comments[/title]

Just a BTW, the free newsreader I use in Windows is SharpReader, www.sharpreader.net. One of my favorite features is that it does not require installation -- you can just unzip and execute the .exe in the folder.

If you are interested in the Skotos articles, their RSS feed is http://www.skotos.net/articles/index.xml -- it is a summary only feed, we hope to have a full feed later this fall.

Thanks, Chris --
I will tweak it to make it look pretty when I get the time -- I'm also getting a few unrecognized characters in the title mix.
